2022 Gala
On November 5, 2022, over 250 people gathered at the Delta by Marriott in Hunt Valley to support the Little Sisters’ return to their first in-person Warming the Home Gala since 2019 due to COVID. The evening was a great success with a live and silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and best of all, the return of the Celebrity Chef competition featuring priests from the Archdiocese.
This year’s ‘contenders’ were Msgr. Nicholas Amato, Father Tim Brown, S.J., Father Michael DeAscanis, and Father Scott Kady. Everyone in attendance raved about the food and the winner was determined by the amount of tips left in each chef’s tip jar. And the coveted silver (plated) ladle went to Father Brown for “Mother Ann’s Chicken Casserole”.
The Warming the Home Gala is the Little Sisters largest fundraiser of the year. And the purpose of the event is to pay St. Martin’s Home winter fuel cost which averages $30,000 per month. The Little Sisters depend on our generous donors to help alleviate the cost of keeping our beloved Residents safe and warm.
Please mark your calendar for next year’s event on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Delta by Marriott in Hunt Valley, where once again we will feature the culinary creations of our area priests.
