A Toast to 2013!
At 8 p.m. on December 31, 2012, St. Martin’s Home Residents rang in 2013 with noisemakers, dancing and DJ Dean. The event was celebrated with style – decorative hats and beads added to the festivities. Our dedicated volunteers were in attendance and helped with the champagne toast at 8 p.m. The staff had been challenged through the day – what parts of the world would be striking midnight when the Residents were celebrating at 8 p.m. in Catonsville, MD? (A few countries are: Liberia, Ireland, Morocco and Portugal.)
Celebrating 101!
Surrounded by three generations of nieces and nephews, family, Residents and staff, Mary Rodenhi celebrated her 101st birthday on January 9. The cake was decorated with 13 candles – only 12% of the needed 101 candles! Mary enjoyed the festivities and successfully extinguished all candles! A Resident of St. Martin’s Home for 13 years, Mary was recognized last year by St. Agnes Hospital for being their first IV nurse.
It’s Party Time!
