The Little Sisters, Association Jeanne Jugan (AJJ) members, friends and families welcomed Tessy and Rose Kunnappallil and Pat Regan to the Association as they recited the AJJ promise on Sunday, April 26 during a celebratory Mass by Father Cale Crowley. A beautiful reception followed in Guadalupe Cottage.
Catholic women and men interested in joining the Association participate in a yearlong program of formation. The members share in the spirituality of the Little Sisters of the Poor, participate in their mission of hospitality and spread the charism of Saint Jeanne Jugan in various social and professional settings according to his or her talents and interests.
A.J.J. activities at St. Martin’s include:
- Volunteering in various areas of the home
- Serving as lectors and Eucharistic ministers
- Visiting Residents who are hospitalized, room-bound or in need of special attention
- Helping with meal service
- Assuring a comforting presence with terminally ill Residents
- Assisting with fund raising activities
- Helping with the monthly AJJ bingo, holidays and other special events
