While the winter weather is cold and snowy, St. Martin’s Home Residents enjoy many indoor activities to improve their mind, body and spirit!
We welcomed 2015 with DJ Dean providing music for singing and dancing. Residents, volunteers, Sisters and staff enjoyed a special early evening dinner while waiting for the New Year. In addition, Kitty Bowles and Stephanie Yu of the Activities Department help ward off “winter doldrums” with exercise classes, Game Days, Bingo, arts and crafts, baking sessions and karaoke fun. Musical entertainers, weekly choir rehearsals and visits to the hairdresser and manicurist keep Residents engaged. The opportunity for prayer and thanksgiving with the Little Sisters and guests is offered with daily Mass and rosary in the chapel.
Special thanks to Joyce Smaar, Yoshi Beatty, Association Jeanne Jugan members, and Lynn Killan for hosting a Winter Tea Party Social. Specialty teas, finger sandwiches and delectable desserts prepared by the hostesses brought smiles to all in attendance.
Thank you to the volunteers and friends who brave the winter elements to help with these special events!
Welcome 2015!
