150th Anniversary Mass
On May 19, 2019 an anniversary Mass was celebrated at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Archbishop William E. Lori as Principal Celebrant. The Mass was a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Little Sisters in Baltimore. Archbishop Lori stressed the history of the Congregation that brought them to Baltimore and the importance of their mission in the Archdiocese today.
The Little Sisters humbly accepted a standing ovation from the congregation in acknowledgement of their sacred work of caring for the elderly poor.
Another highlight of the liturgy was the presentation of the gifts by Sister Angela Marie Clare and Sister Claire Marie, both of whom entered from Baltimore.
A reception for guests followed at Borders Hall.
