“A Little Sister’s Christmas Carol”
The Little Sisters and Residents recently performed an updated version of Charles Dickens’ beloved A Christmas Carol.
In our version, “A Little Sister’s Christmas Carol,” Elizabeth Scrooge is visited by the Sister of Christmas Past to restore her faith and revive her spirit. The Sister of Christmas Past transports Elizabeth to a stable in Bethlehem where they observe the Holy Family and reminds Elizabeth of the first Christmas and its message for us today: “This little family traveled far, looking for a small room where the mother could have her baby, find food, and some comfort. Instead, they are in a stable, where it is cold and damp.” The Sister of Christmas Past reminds Elizabeth Scrooge what the world sometimes forgets: the stable is where Christmas was born so God could teach us a better way to live!
Remember to celebrate His birth by generously sharing what you have, joyfully greeting one another and keeping the spirit of Christmas alive by bringing warmth into a cold world!
