Sister Bernadette recently arrived at St. Martin’s Home from Cleveland, Ohio and brought a very welcome addition with her! Daisy, a three year old Havanese, immediately made Baltimore her home and found a place in the hearts of our Residents.
Sister Bernadette explained Residents in our Cleveland home asked for a dog several years ago and their Christmas wish arrived Christmas Eve through the support of two generous benefactors. In Cleveland, Daisy had full reign of the home, even riding elevators alone to visit with Residents.
Accepting of hugs, kisses and treats, Daisy is becoming acclimated to St. Martin’s, our Residents, Sisters and employees. One of Daisy’s “jobs” is to assist receptionist, Gary Lapchak, in greeting visitors. She has a special sense of knowing when Residents seem lonely or in need of a friend and offers her companionship.
We are thankful for the joy Daisy shares with all who enter our Home.
WELCOME, DAISY!
