On a recent sunny day, Residents, staff, volunteers and Association Jeanne Jugan members were invited to a “parade” – the route being around the gardens of St. Martin’s Home. Keith Karas, Human Resources Director, made an announcement for everyone to meet in a central location, bring straw hats and sun screen! Each Resident was partnered with another person, and the parade began! This was an opportunity for everyone to view the new cottages from the outside. Sister Marie Antoinette and her dedicated volunteers have been tirelessly working to add beauty to the grounds through plantings and caring for the landscape. This parade did not need a marching band – we had Sister Lourdes and Sister Loretto singing for us. After enjoying the warm sun and viewing the grounds, Residents were treated to refreshments in their cottages.
